I know we have said this before, but it’s worth saying again! We truly appreciate our foster homes and also the wonderful families that have adopted pets from CARS. Rescue is a labor of love, tough at times, but the reward of placing an animal into a safe and caring home is one of the highest highs. If you have adopted from us in the past, or are currently fostering, please share a picture in the comments below. Here we come 2021!

*Update foster homes found. We have had amazing number of people that have applied.Thank you to everyone that sent in an application. It will take us sometime to go through the applications but, if you don’t get a phone call we will put you on our list for our next intakes. If you have been considering fostering a dog or puppy, PLEASE fill out a foster application. We must have foster homes in place by Saturday. We have 9 puppies and 2 adult dogs coming in and only 1 foster secured. This will be a different kind of Holiday season for everyone, possibly the only Holiday season ever where people are staying home. Would you like a fireplace snuggle buddy to keep you company? Please consider a foster pup. As always, supplies and support will be provided. You get the best holiday guest. https://calgaryanimalrescue.com/

Foster homes Needed please fill out an application at https://calgaryanimalrescue.com/ please ensure to specify who you are interested in fostering. 1)When Ke...lly was first brought in, she was so scared of humans. She wouldn’t come to us. After 3-4 days We won her over with left over treats She’s been tied up her whole life, so when she is let out in the yard she loves to run. She does come back when called. She has been introduced slowly to other dogs but is going to need a patient home that has the time to teach her she’s safe and loved. 2) FOSTER FOUND forAnnabelle. She’s around 4-5 months old. She had emergency dental surgery so is currently eating can food and soaked kibbles which will he provided. She’s is eating good and very food motivated so training should come easy. 3) We also have PUPPIES. 5 8 week old puppies 4 females 1 male. We like our puppies to go in pairs if possible or in homes with other dogs for socializing. 4) Lastly we have a lab cross mom and her 2 female puppies. Not sure how old the mom and puppies are once determined we will know if we can separate the puppies from mom for fostering or if they will need to go together until puppies are old enough. We will update once fosters are found. Thank you.

**Fosters found. Thank you for the overwhelming response. We will require more foster homes in mid-December and will be contacting foster applicants next month. You make rescue intake possible!** If anyone would like to foster a 9 week old black lab mix puppy, now is your chance! We have two female puppies that need to be moved this weekend. They are beautiful and fun. We would like them to be fostered out together, or can be fostered separately if you have another puppy loving dog in the house. Please call 403-816-0759 or fill out a foster application on our website. All supplies are included. www.calgaryanimalrescue.com

It’s been super duper busy around here. Many new intakes, numerous stops at the vet for health checks, and lining up/dropping off dogs and puppies at our new foster homes. We’re not complaining! It’s been great. With all that going on, we had a litter of pups born at one of our wonderful temporary homes. This is such an awwwww moment and a true blessing to have 8 happy, healthy little fuzz nuggets. Hope these pictures make you smile today. We’re grinning ear to ear. Puppies will not be available to foster for a couple of months.

Calgary Animal Rescue Society's intake team will be heading out on Monday to pick up 5 puppies and 3 adult dogs. At this point, we have no pictures and not a whole lot of information, but one thing we do know is that we will need foster homes. CARS is a foster based rescue, so temporary homes are critical and very much appreciated. Open your home to a foster at no cost to yourself. Food, supplies, vet care and support from our canine team are all included. Let’s place these dogs and puppies into safe and comfortable foster homes before the cold weather hits again! Fill out a foster application today www.calgaryanimalrescue.com
