The childcare room was "a-buzz" with many fun activities this week!

The children in our childcare program had a fun first week back from winter break! They took advantage of the mild winter weather on their tobogganing day in our school yard!

As schools once again shift to online or students continue to try learning critical literacy skills through a mask, the need for structured literacy interventio...n is greater than ever. The children enjoyed their green play dough this week. They created dinosaurs, paleontologists, and practiced their names. Dinosaur week was tons of fun!

Calling all families! We are sending you a challenge to take part in our sidewalk chalk art project! Get together with your family and decorate your sidewalk with chalk and send it back to the school to be posted on our Facebook page. Let's add a little sunshine to everyone's time at home!

The junior and senior kindergarten classes had a magical morning with Mr. Sherry from Richard Sherry's Magic Show. Doves turning into bunnies, a human milk machine and balloon animals to take home were just a few of our favourite moments!

#PinkShirtDay was a great success at Calgary Early Learning Centre! Lots of kindness and respect was spread throughout our classrooms.

The senior kindergarten celebrated their 100th day of school today! Counting 100 Fruit Loops, making crowns and turning the number 100 into creative art pieces! Congratulations on being 100 days smarter!

The cold did not bother the senior kindergarten today! It was a perfect penguin kind of day to attend the Penguin Palooza program at the zoo. Do you know how many different species of penguins call the Calgary Zoo home?

Calgary Early Learning Centre wishes friends and family a 2020 full love and learning!
