I just wanted to take the time to thank you for helping us create our first wedding dance. It was spontaneous and very much captured our personalities and us as a couple. You were able to understand what our vision was and bring it to life. You were absolutely wonderful to work with and also extremely accommodating of our very busy work schedules. A year in Review Year in review 2020 Blog 2020 is the year of the RAT and what an accurate prediction that was! Rats!!! just about sums it all up! It began as... an amazing year for DC Dance Club that included - growing numbers of new students, many of whom became members of our Club - plans underway for the annual Showcases that attract as many as 250 attendees, a tradition like no other in the city - our competition dancers were practicing for performances in San Francisco and Hawaii But the world had other plans ... 2020 turned out to be a challenge like no other for many businesses and individuals alike. However, With over 35 years in Calgary, DC Dance Club is not going away. We are rising to meet the challenges ahead. With continued support from our dance community, we expanded beyond our regular Latin & Ballroom Socials to Latino Fridays, and Swing/Country dances on Sundays. We will continue with our great new classes, weekend socials, more Showcases, competitions and so much more for our wonderful DC family. We look forward to hiring additional fabulous professional instructors, and with your support we will succeed. We are keeping the Christmas Spirit alive at DC!! With the help of Jullie and Angela, we set out to do a tiny bit of decorating at the studio. Then Miro got involved... Then we were having so much fun we just did a little bit more! Well, a bit led to a lot and we now have three beautiful displays that our plan is to leave up in the new year to celebrate Christmas and the New Year and maybe a winter showcase just got extended to 2021, ;o). We are looking forward to a strong restart and new growth in 2021. Alberta Health Services has recommended that DC maintain a membership roster as their concerns included limiting attendance to a known cohort and facilitating contact tracing if so required.
