Does your child struggle to sound out words? Do they find reading tiring? Boring? Frustrating? Slow? Do they have difficulty recognizing a word from one page to... the next? Can they read a sentence, but not understand what they just read? Join Sonya Sommerville to learn practical ways to support your child and help them master the skills necessary for successfully reading. There are many skills involved in reading, and not all students develop these skills in the same way or at the same speed. Learn why students struggle with reading, and steps you can take to help them progress. Each student is unique. You will learn a variety of skills so you can determine the ones that work best for your child. On Zoom, 7-9pm EDT Monday April 5: Why students struggle with reading/Switching on the brain for learning Monday April 12: Learning to Read/Crossing the visual midline Monday April 19: Overlearning and memory/Oral reading Monday April 26: Long term readers/Reading comprehension Attend 1, 2, 3, or all 4 classes Cost $20 per class Email [email protected] to register Sonya is a dyslexia tutor and Brain Gym Licensed Movement Facilitator Brain Gym is a registered trademark of Breakthroughs International, dba The Educational Kinesiology Foundation, Santa Barbara, California, www.breakthroughsinternational.org

To all who have danced with us, collaborated with us, played for us and encouraged us; to families, friends and loved ones who have been there for us all; to th...ose we have lost, and to those who have felt lost; to those incredible people who have kept us all going - in so many different ways - through the most difficult of years; this is our tribute to you. We wish we were able to celebrate with you properly, but for now we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love and support. Here's to the day when the village halls and stages and theatres and arenas are full, and we can join hands and dance together again. Wishing you a Happy and healthy 2021, With love, F&T Thank you to Dougie MacLean for his beautiful music, to Clunie Hall for allowing us to use the space on a freezing 23rd of December, and to @Kyle Howie - Photo & Video for creating our final video of the year.
