Snowmobile season is coming and Camp Conewango is the perfect base for your family’s snowmobiling adventure. We are located directly on BF201, outside of North Bay--- you can’t get any closer! There are several day loops that can be done from your cottage, with a delicious boxed lunch provided for those who would like to avoid busy stops. Hearty meal plans are available. If we can’t host your meals in our dining room, meal plans will be delivered directly to your cottage. W...hen you book with us, your deposit will be refunded if your trip is cancelled due to COVID-19 (see policy on our website). You can rest assured, we keep your safety foremost with our contactless check in and enhanced cleaning protocols. Call to reserve your cottage.

After much consideration, we have made the decision to change our business model due to the challenges we have encountered as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. - our restaurant will not be opening this summer - we will not be opening overnight camping for this camping season. - more sites will be converted to seasonal so, we will have a few more available. ... We have seasonal campsites available. Our family campground provides a clean, quiet community setting with some of the friendliest campers anywhere. Good news....as of Saturday, Camp Conewango is able to open for our seasonal campers only. Since we had very short notice, we are very busy getting everything ready for tomorrow and will not be able to respond to any messages today.

Due to the current trail situation Camp Conewango will be closing McBrides restaurant for the season. Someone will be on site and can assist you with fuel(9-5pm) however food will not be available. If you require fuel please look on our restaurant door and I will indicate where I am working that day. Come find me and I will be pleased to help. MATTAWA & AREA SNOWMOBILE CLUB TRAIL UPDATE: Thursday March 5th, 2020. The trails are in surprisingly good condition with a very few select bare spots here an...d there. Here's the Mattawa weather report for tonight: Cloudy. Snow beginning early this evening. Amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind becoming northeast 20 km/h before morning. Low minus 7. Wind chill minus 14 overnight. Tonight the groomers are doing the East end, Friday the Mica mine & Kiosk on Saturday. MA 150 through town should be avoided if possible. The river crossing is good with a couple of bare spots where the groomer doesn't go. Have a wonderful weekend! Ride safe & remember to "Ride Your Side". See more

I want to thank all the riders that heeded our plea to respect the trails during the weekend mild spell. It goes a long way to help us refresh them and helps to prolong the season. Big shoutout and tip of the helmet. Thank you.

MATTAWA & AREA SNOWMOBILE TRAIL UPDATE REPORT: Wednesday January 15th, 2020. It's great to see trails opening up around us. Our trails are still YELLOW but f...or the most part they are in great shape. We expect the trails will be green by the weekend. There are some odd slushy areas and a few rocks that keep magically appearing. We are getting snow again tonight and more again on Saturday and Sunday. Both groomers are running steady and will be on the trails working 24 hours. Please be careful and exercise caution while approaching the groomers and stay on your side of the trails at all times. We'll post another update in a couple of days. We're very excited to see so many snowmobilers visiting our beautiful Mattawa trails again. Travel safe and have fun! See more

To all our snowmobiling friends... It's happening! Our Restaurant McBrides will be open from 11-5 pm tomorrow and then we have our pre-planned music night with Live music from 7 pm-?. (reservations recommended) Always check the OFSC trail status before heading out and be careful out there as trails are currently listed as limited availability in the surrounding area. Parking available on site for those that want to trailer out for the day. Our regular hours this snowmobile season will be 11-5 Thursday through Monday. The restaurant will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday every week but we will be here for Premium fuel from 9-6 pm -7 days per week. Thanks to all the volunteers at the local Mattawa, Bonfield and North Bay Clubs for making the best of the challenging weather! Hope to see you soon.

Dinner by the lake...what could be better? McBride's at Camp Conewango will open for the summer season tomorrw, July 5th. Dinner will be served Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 to 9 pm, each weekend until August 30th.
