RED DEER 2020 will be postponed to 2021 Dear Friends. In light of the world’s present and ongoing battle with the Coronavirus Pandemic, we the board of directors, financial advisers and associates have made the decision to postpone the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration, July 9, 10, & 11, 2020 to next year, July 15, 16, & 17, 2021.... We are requesting that all ticket holders retain their tickets for admission to the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration to be held July 15, 16, & 17, 2021. It is our intention to extend an invitation to all the artists who were on the CGMC 2020, program to be part of CGMC 2021. There are reasons but several obvious ones. Artists coming to Canada from the United States presently have restrictions to cross the border and the general public presently being directed to stay home. Even with Government directives being waived, and no one really knows when this will happen, the decisions of the general public to travel and attend a large gathering make it prohibitive to move ahead this year. With all due respect to the average age of the attendees it is evident that with unstable health conditions, large gatherings are prohibitive. With unsettled recovery of our nation, the risk of moving ahead for July 9, 10, & 11, 2020 is questionable and therefore will be postponed until next year, July 15, 16, & 17, 2021. We at CGMC are as passionate as everyone involved. Needless to say this is a painful and difficult decision for us to make. We feel, along with all who attend this very powerful and special weekend, the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration in July is a life changing experience. Please pray with us that the work of keeping the Canadian Gospel Music Celebration, moving ahead will be shared by all who attend. We collectively know the need to share the Gospel message.
