We’ve worked with The Mindful Project, co-founded by international soccer star Erin McLeod, throughout 2020 to help our youth reach their potential through mindfulness. The Mindful Project teaches students and athletes how to be in the moment, focus on positive thoughts and self-talk, and embrace mistakes. Introducing Our Words Our Cities - An interactive national poetry slam & documentary movie! Grade school poet-athletes who participate in @americascores free after school programs competed in hometown competitions last fall across the USA. Standouts from each city were matched with local professional spoken word artists to hone their craft, and invited to compete in one of three regional slams in February 2020. Each of the slams, which featured performances from local professional spoken word artists, were filmed and will feature as part of the documentary movie, @ourwordsourcities - scheduled for a late 2020 release.
