Believe it or not somebody thought they were too loud, some people didn’t like the fact that it was interrupting what they were doing."

His motorcycle tweets got more attention when he posted as a young woman. I got carried away gradually as I tried to make it cuter, he said.

Have you seen the Bernie Sanders viral memes on Facebook? You can't miss them - they are EVERYWHERE! They are making people laugh across the globe - and others are running out of patience with them. You COULD create your own here https://bernie-sits.herokuapp.com/ but the site has gone so crazy that the creator cannot afford to maintain it without donations. If it ever returns, you can find it there. Did you get to the site and create any before it disappeared? Share them in the comments! :)

It's not something any of us would think could happen....

Canadian Highways Network 01.12.2020

The Canadian Highways Network was established 10 years ago by two Manitoba women (that's us in the photo!) who were tired of getting incorrect highway updates and being stressed out about driving in bad weather. There was a huge need for change in the way information was being provided in our province. We both worked full time jobs, but knew the importance of getting updates to those who needed them. We created a safe, bully-free zone for drivers who could update each other o...n the conditions they were traveling. It started in Manitoba - the goal was fast, junk-free updates - a place offering recent, valid information only. Our Manitoba groups became so active, that we added update groups across Canada. After 10 years of snowstorms, power outages, highway closures, Amber Alerts, behind-the-scenes- driver support and around the clock updates, our hope is that our group members are provided everything they need to feel safer and more informed out on the highways. We also offer a public page where we share news stories, memes, fun videos, polls, world topics, contests and discussions. EXAMPLES OF WHERE WE HAVE HELPED March, 2016 - MB - Major Accident on MB Highway: We were contacted on Easter Monday at 10 am to relay information to group members quickly about a closure and detour. A fatality had occurred on the highway along with numerous others injured and the STARS helicopter and ambulances were needed to get people to hospital. Our groups alerted thousands of drivers immediately to the closure and followed up later when it reopened. May, 2018 - MB - Camper, Ashern, Mulvihill Fires We worked with local authority, posting closures and updates. We also provided professional online emergency updates for residents of the area and for those who live farther away but had relatives in the affected areas. Highways closed in various stretches and alerts were needed more often to remind drivers of the dangers of crossing barriers. October, 2019 - MB - Snowstorm/Power Outage - (2 weeks for some): Our groups maintained updates, emergency posts and member support (via email & message) to those who needed it. There were 22,000+ junk-free posts requesting and sharing information during this month. Our drivers say it best and their reviews are worth reading: www.canadianhighwaysnetwork.ca/testimonials 2018 MB Disaster Management Conference - Volunteer of the Year. MB - Award for Community Excellence in Disaster Management. Presented on behalf of the Parliament of Canada and the constituents of Selkirk-Interlake Eastman, James Bezan. Our highway groups are FREE to join and found here: www.canadianhighwaysnetwork.ca/ We have been asked, but don't have a donation button - folks can buy us a coffee if they choose to here: https://ko-fi.com/canadianhighwaysnetwork THANK YOU for being part of this incredible resource. ~Adrienne & Shawn, The Canadian Highways Network

Staying home and staying safe can also mean finding creative ways to enjoy your favourite activities indoors. While we don't recommend hockey, football or baseball - we can all learn from this adorable fellow - he has it figured out....almost! Thanks to Pamela for the share!
