Canadian Tack and Nail 2003 Ltd. produces, distributes and wholesales a multitude of specialty tacks and nails and other products/ services such as; marine (boat and canoe building) furniture (both custom and prefab), electrical (insulated staples) construction and more. We produce many formed as well custom specific wire products (D-rings, loops, staples, etc.) Proud supplier to great Canadian companies for over 100 years! ... The original Dominion Tack and Nail Company was established in Cambridge in 1903. In July 1909, a charter was granted to Dominion Tack and Nail Company Ltd. by the Province of Ontario to incorporate. The company became a major supplier to the hardware trade, as well as to furniture and shoe manufacturing industries across the country. The company also did a thriving export business with New Zealand, Australia, and Jamaica. Operations continued throughout the century producing quality merchandise. The company later became Canadian Tack and Nail. In 2003, under new management, the name was changed to Canadian Tack and Nail (2003) Ltd.. The new owners, in conjunction with descendants of the founding family, moved forward into the new millennium. Now, under a new generation, we continue to manufacture and distribute our products, applying expertise gained over decades of production, while bringing new ideas and energy to meet the needs of today's market.
