The City of Medicine Hat has completed the purchase and commissioning of two electric ice resurfacers as part of an on-going effort to find operational cost sav...ings and efficiencies within the organization. A grant program available through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre provided $100,000 towards the total investment. This grant allowed the City to invest in electric technology that will reduce operational costs, improve operational efficiencies and service levels, while remaining under the capital budget.
