Hello Challenger Baseball friends, families and athletes, Happy Monday!... We are excited to announce the we have EXTENDED the Virtual Challenger Baseball Winter Jamboree registration deadline to Wednesday, January 27th @ 4:00 pm EST. The Challenger Baseball Winter Jamboree is open to all existing Challenger Baseball families along with any other individuals in Canada living with a cognitive and/or physical disability! On Saturday, February 6th from 12:00pm 3:30pm EST come together with Toronto Blue Jays and Jays Care Foundation for 5 innings of fun and excitement. Well 2020 was tough on us for sure not being able to play and having to postpone our long awaited trip to the National Jamboree. With that being said we are hopeful to hit the field this year, with any luck the upgrades to the Nicole Meaney will be complete so we can welcome everyone easily. It will also give us more time to focus and create bigger and better plans for our trip to Toronto making it even more special when Covid is behind us. We are all incredibly proud at how ...our Challengers have adapted to such huge changes this year. Huge thanks have to go out to the Jays Care Foundation as well for being so incredibly engaging even through the pandemic. With support for our Challenger families, at home play kits, virtual jamborees and events, and their contribution to our field they are rockstars! With all that said, on behalf of the athletes coaches, volunteers and families associated with Challenger baseball in Cape Breton we would like to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

We want to thank all of our Challenger players who braved the cold and came down to sneak on the Turf infield for a game of ball! There were smiles all around. Photo doesn't show but there is still a lot of work to be completed. Which we won't be completed until into the Spring.

As we get ready for Halloween, which will be different like most other things this year, we just wanted to give a friendly reminder to ensure everyone is included! To all of our Challengers young and old alike Happy Halloween! We can't wait to see your costumes!

Whether you enjoyed your traditional Thanksgiving meal yesterday or today we hope your weekend was well spent with family and friends! We are grateful for our Challengers, volunteers with all associations, parents, buddies and everyone who comes together to support us! Happy Thanksgiving

Hey everyone, just to update those following our progress. Our field conversion project is now in the design phase! We have had a tremendous amount of assistance from not only our MLA, those in other ridings all the way to the Premier himself; as well as, many members of the CBRM and MPs Outgoing Councillor Clarence Prince has been an incredible supporter of this project as well as the Sydney Mines District Little League Association throughout his years on Council and although he is not reoffering we wish him all the best in his retirement! We hope we will have more exciting news in the days to come and can't wait to hit the field with our Challenger athletes when this dream becomes reality
