This is another septic system our crew completed early December 2020. Another new home build.

We have purchased John P Carey Sewer Services as of December 1st. 2020 We would like to congratulate John and Vi Carey and their over 45 years of service to our community and a Happy Retirement. We would like to welcome Ron Hummel to our staff from John P Carey Sewer Services. We will be continuing the business name John P Carey Sewer Cleaning and it's services along with extended services we already have in effect. I too come with many years experience in the sewer and dra...in cleaning industry as John and I are 3rd generation in this line of work. Our grandfather Ed Carey started in this line of work over 110 years ago building and installing "out houses" . As indoor plumbing became common, Ed Carey began not only hand digging sewer line in , but clearing them out by hand and making homemade cables he would acquire from old hydro cables purchased from Chatham Hydro. He would bend a makeshift hand crank so he could turn the cable by hand. Both John's father George Carey and my father Clayton Carey learned this trade from thier father Ed Carey . As the years went by , my father Clayton purchased the first electric powered sewer machine in 1954 for $4,000, manufactured by Oster . With this purchase and a phone call to The Chatham Daily News , the business name became known as " Clayt Carey Electric Sewer Service. My Sister Debbie Carey became the first female sewer contractor in Ontario in 1972. John Carey worked with his father George and my sister Deb, brother Dennis and myself worked for our father Clayt. Dennis is the owner of Panic Sewer Cleaning Services and my sister Dianna is his office manager. My Wife Karen is our office manager and accountant and I am operations manager. 5 to 6 inches ( 12 to 15 cm) of rain early this morning . Alot of people got water . Municipal main sewers were over run with this sudden over load of water . Alot of back up into basements . Eve trauphs over flowing and water coming in through window wells of basements .

This is a span of 21 days . From applying hydro-seed to its growth over that period. It's very important to have a good quality top soil as well as not cheaping out on the coverage of hydro-seed . I am very happy this homeowner listened to my recommendations and because of this you can see the results.

Our guys worked hard today in this heat and completed these two hydro-seeding jobs .

This is my kind of office work! Prepping a yard for hydro-seeding with Dylan Pumfrey and Collin Carnegie first then loading topsoil in dump trucks. Once in a while it's nice to get back behind the wheel . My guys normally do this but we are extremely busy . So helping out.
