Join us at the Sustainable Energy Lecture Series on Thursday, October 1st at 5:30 pm, as we explore New Opportunities for Action in Climate Law. Speaker Joanna Dafoe (the National Director of Climate Change with the Insurance Bureau of Canada) will be diving into these topics and their potential for profound impact. https://carleton.ca//sustainable-energy-lecture-series-ne/ A new field of law has emerged on the topic of climate risk: the financial risks incurred by companies from events caused by climate change. The exciting thing about this rapidly evolving body of law is that it enables private actors to bring cases before domestic courts around the world.
