41 years ago on June 9th, 1979. The MacKay family lost this wonderful man, Newton Jay MacKay. He was Instrumental in getting the Prince Edward Island antique car club up and running. He loved his days of taking his wife Doris and four children, Blair, Kevin, Sonya and Boyd for a tour of the Island to pursue his passion for antique automobiles and the Car Life Museum. His son Kevin had the same interest as his dad for anything cars. He continued his dad’s passion and thro...ugh the years has added many more beautiful cars to the collection. On this same date, 30 years ago on June 9th, 1990 Kevin had this Stock car racing roll over with his race-car. His two children ages at the time were Kristi age two and Greg five days old at the time of my scare. Both of these knowledgeable men of cars will certainly be missed. They would have forgotten half of what some of us know. Life is a journey, enjoy the ride Love Shirlene AKA Lucy https://www.facebook.com/CarLifeMuseum/videos/1157109204407025/
We recently took this little Mighty Morris for a drive and some fresh fuel to local Gass’ General Store, always a friendly face.
Happy birthday Kevin... we did not have you long enough, but the years we did were so spectacular. The everyday work, fun, yearly vacations. Your wonderful smile and laugh. You gave it your all for everyone. You will not only be extremely missed by myself and your two awesome kids, your mom, sister and brothers. You will also be missed by many, many friends as well. Thanks for be you ! You simply turn my crank ! Love you forever xoxoxo
Anyone who knew Kevin would know his love for cars in general but especially his HEMI Charger and the nostalgia of the date 04/26 as in car guy terms that was the 4th month + 26th day = HEMI 426. #426 Tomorrow is Kevin’s committal at Sherwood Cemetery (417 Sherwood Road, Charlottetown, PE C1E 0E5) and we are celebrating his love of this date by having his grave side ceremony take place at 11am. With social/physical distancing in mind we are asking anyone who wishes to brin...g their new or old car and park on Sherwood Road @ approximately 10:45 am and stay in their car is welcomed to, for Kevin’s final send off. Please share this post to anyone who you think would like to bring their car and share in Kevin’s love of cars. Thank-you. -The MacKay’s

Happy Easter to all our Facebook friends. Our hope to you all is to stay happy and healthy.
Thanks to our friends at the other place we love to hang our hat. They posted this recognition in our monthly chatterbox (newsletter). The Car Life Museum received this award and was accepted by our children Kristi and Greg MacKay along with their grandmother, Doris Mackay.
Car guy stuck in isolation. Brings him back a lot of years... Like when he was 14 driving his mothers car up and down the driveway.
Just wanted to pop in and say hello from all of us at the Car Life Museum in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. We hope all of your family and friends stay happy, healthy and safe through these difficult times. We are not stuck at home, we are safe at home.
We had the Cuda out tonight for a cruise to one of our favorite places to eat, Conch Republican in Redington beach. We had the pleasure of getting a photo with our favorite manager Lisa. She always makes us feel so welcome ! Thanks Lisa !
It is National Landline day... at the Car Life Museum we not only still use the landline, but it is also a rotary phone.
