What do you feel FIERCE about? One of my biggest takeaways from art school was to be fierce about what is true to you. If you weren’t FIERCE, you would get trampled on in critique.... If you were FIERCE about your choices in a piece, you could pretty much do WHATEVER THE FUCK you wanted with it! Now, of course there are nuances and I’m not recommending you turn into a tiger-bitch.... I am saying that our FIERCENESS can PROPEL us into the life we want; if we have the clarity and courage to tap into it. This is what I am recommending: Take out a piece of paper and write down what you feel FIERCE about! The components in life that rial you up, that ignite your passion, that you could do a TED talk on. Start with 3 components. What can you do/change/schedule today, to move yourself closer into alignment with what you feel FIERCE about? Brand pattern by my friend and fabulous designer @larascarrdesign - and just for context, I was fierce (and difficult) about sticking to my vision when she made this!

My sense of longing has felt thick and palpable over the last many months... How about you? This quote reminded me to befriend the ache I have been experiencing; to create space enough for it to reveal what it wants.... And these are a few of the things my longing has told me: Please slow down enough to be completely present in connection with yourself and others. Please nourish me with play and more of the activities that bring me joy. Please trust my quiet knowing, and follow it into the unknown. And while I intrinsically knew there was wisdom in my current lack of ease, @tokopa ‘s words were everything I needed to hear. What is your longing trying to reveal to you?
