First day back and the rock wall is a BIG hit with everyone. We’ve had Mini Gym and Kindergym classes using Gym#2 today, and they were loving the new activity.

It’s done!!!!! It was a Cartwheels Family work day getting this job accomplished. We are so excited to see the reactions this week on our new addition to the gym. The gym is vacuumed, mopped, and sanitized...we are ready to welcome everyone back!!! Coffee. Coach. Clean. Repeat. see you at the gym!

We’ve been hard at work this week replying to your emails, cleaning/prepping the gym for reopening, AND building a surprise addition for our members. We’ve been wanting to add something fun for the kids that we can clean/sanitize easily between groups.....and this week it’s coming together! A portion of our Fielding Winery fundraiser before Christmas went to this project, and the remainder to cleaning supplies. Thank you again to everyone who ordered/supported! Our new sideways-climb rock wall will be installed beside the trampoline area, and provide a fun, challenging station for various age groups to enjoy. We cannot wait to see the reactions starting Saturday!

We SG Made masks while coaching!!! Our families have by far voted these #1 in comfort as well. Sarah’s family are long-time Cartwheels members and we love the comfort, design of these masks. We’ve ordered new 3-layer masks for our coaches for our reopening, AND Sarah is packaging up some masks that will be available for purchase at Cartwheels for $10......or check out her FB page for custom selections. Woo! We’ve come home to defrost and warm up (we’ve had the heat off at the gym to save $) but CHECK YOUR EMAILS PLEASE. We’ve sent out a mass email to our mailing list we’ve been creating since the start of Season 11, in September. If you haven’t received an email titled WE ARE REOPENING (check your junk/other folders too), and are registered for Term 3 (that should have started January 11), please email the gym to update/add your address. We’ve also sent out a couple of ...class-specific updates of changes due to capacity or scheduling issues. There could be more of these should anything change before the weekend, so please continue to monitor emails from Cartwheels. As we can see from our personal devices, there are many replies to our email asking to confirm class times (we registered so long ago, we get it lol) and we will reply to you tomorrow when we are back in the gym. Friends fans? Cartwheels is determined to PIVOT and adapt as needed for you, our valued members & supporters. Kids need physical activity. Kids are resilient. Kids will continue to be safe at Cartwheels, as we take each protocol and obstacle to the extreme. We got this! Below are the upcoming term dates for 2021. Please note that these dates are subject to change as needed, and we’ve left wiggle room through the season to make the changes to address what happens with the... school year, government recommendations, and what we determine is the best path for Cartwheels. We are going to continue with Term 3 and 4, as six week terms with a two week pause in between. We have scheduled Term 5, as a eight week term which is closer to our normal pre-COVID term length .staying positive and looking forward to a healthy world (fingers crossed). Term 3: Monday January 4-Sunday February 14 Term 4: Sunday February 28-Sunday March 11 (proposed dates, subject to change) Term 5: Monday April 26-Monday June 21 (proposed dates, subject to change, 8 week term. Pricing to be updated to reflect a longer term) Current Term 2: registration to confirm your same day/time as you are currently registered in for Term 3, only by email starting November 24, at 12:01am until November 26, at 7:00pm. Starting November 24, you may send an email to confirm you are choosing to stay in your child’s current time slot. No new registration forms will be required and your spot can be confirmed by sending payment by etransfer or by providing credit card info. Open registration for new members or those wishing to change day/time for Term 3, starts on Friday November 27, by email only starting at 12:01am. Term 1 and 2, members of the current season will not need new paperwork. IMPORTANT: parents, please refrain from removing your mask to drink beverages. We kindly ask that you don’t bring coffee/tea etc into our viewing area at this time. Playtime and Family Bookings: will not be offered until Halton is placed in the PREVENT/green stage. We are sad to announce, but feel it’s the absolute best decision for Cartwheels and our members, that we hold off on opening Term 3, registration. It was scheduled to begin tomorrow for our current members and Friday for changes and new members. Due to capacity limits we have been dealt this week, we have decided we will wait until we determine we will be allowed to run the (already greatly reduced) schedule that we created for this season. It’s a tough decision to wrap our ...heads around on the business side, but after many discussions feel it’s the smart, necessary course of action for Cartwheels. Stronger on the other side of this is our goal. We will continue to keep you updated on registration as soon as it’s smart and safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Gym is back!!!! Our elf clearly decided we all needed some cheering up and has arrived earlier than normal to quarantine before some fun in the gym in December. His note reads: hello Cartwheels, The Department of Elf Magic has suggested a 14-day quarantine before I may enter the Cartwheels training area to perform my surveillance for Santa Claus.
