The W.H.O.'s World Report on Hearing was published exactly two months ago, and in it they envision: "... a world in which no individual experiences hearing loss due to preventable causes, and those with hearing loss can achieve their full potential through rehabilitation, education, and empowerment." The report goes on to say that, "over 1.5 billion people currently experience some degree of hearing loss, which could grow to 2.5 billion by 2050."... Dr. Kraitzer shares the story of the invention of the EarWay Pro Cerumen Removal Tool. An inventor of a number of medical implantable devices, Dr. Kraitzer details the journey that lead to the development of a unique cerumen management tool; from experiments with ear candling (Hopi Candle), spoiler alert, it doesn’t work, to determining why ear drops are ineffective for the removal of cerumen. Three years in development the EarWay Pro is now available to hearing health care providers to add to their cerumen management kits.
