Some things might change but others will always stay the same!! We know it is early, but we are busy organizing our 7th Annual Little Hands Toy Drive in Honour ...of Maiysn! This year might look a little different but we are almost ready to roll....we just need your help! As always, we hope you will partner with us to be toy drop-off locations for our favourite time of the year! If you, your school, class, business or team are interested in becoming a toy drop-off location or hosting a box, please let us know and we will drop off one off during the week of November 17th. For those individuals who have reached out asking to sponsor Heroes, we have decided to hold a Little Hands North Pole for families this year, so please let us know if you would like to help ensure there are gifts at our ‘Southern’ North Pole for all of our Warriors who need a little extra sparkle under the tree this year. We are still trying to work out some details but we should be ready to go mid-November and look forward to giving smiles to children (and their families) in hospital over the holidays and throughout the year! We thank you in advance for your amazing support. We are so excited to get started. ‘Tis almost the season to make so many Heroes smile. #2020holidaytoydriveinhonourofmaiysn

Monarch Butterfly Garden Fundraiser!!! Layla’s Grace is launching its first official fundraiser; butterfly garden seeds! For a $12 donation, you will receive a... plantable paper butterfly that will grow into a variety of wildflowers, along 5-6 milkweed seeds. Monarch butterflies are beneficial pollinators, but due to pesticides, habitat losses and climate change, their populations are on a steady decline. Planting a small flower garden with milkweed is great way to help support the species! Monarchs will lay their eggs on the underside of the milkweed leaf, which will provide nourishment for their growing caterpillar offspring. The wildflower blend will also help attract monarchs, as well as other beneficial pollinators. Dedicate your little garden space to someone you love, or have lost. I would love to see pics of what flourishes next spring! To purchase, follow the link below. Please remember to provide your mailing address at the time of purchase, as most of these will be sent in the mail. I’ll begin processing orders this weekend, after taking some time with my family to remember Layla on her 1 year angel anniversary October 7th. Thank you for support! Any questions, please feel free to send a message! https://checkout.square.site/buy/CKM4IEI46M2IR4E2HX5CXTB3

The hardest thing we will ever have to do.....is bury our child!!!!!

Catch For A Cure 15.09.2020

One of my absolute biggest pet peeves is when people use the wording lost their battle!!! It offends me. It’s as if they are implying that they did not try... hard enough, they were just too weak, or didn’t put enough effort in. Let me tell you, I watched my boy fight as hard as he possibly could for 8 months day in, and day out. I can’t even begin to describe how HARD he fought ......so please, don’t use that wording. It’s offensive, so very wrong, and couldn’t be further from the truth!!!!!!! #childhoodcancerawareness See more

Day 7 - Worldwide, there will be almost 500 children diagnosed with cancer today.....that is almost 176 000 per year. 176 000 lives that will never be the same...... Childhood cancer is not rare. It is only rare if it has not happened to you or someone you love. #childhoodcancerawareness #littlehandsgoesgold2020 See more

Day 3 - None of our Little Hands families ever expected to hear the words Your child has cancer. Yet family after family after family....have heard those exac...t words and their worlds have been turned upside down. Childhood cancers may seem rare if you do not know anyone who has been touched by a diagnosis....but let us assure you that it is NOT rare. It affects more children than you can imagine and once hearing those words......life is never the same for any member of a paediatric cancer family. Please go gold, advocate and support organizations that assist families navigating through the paed cancer world. It is daunting and overwhelming but having a network of support can mean a world of difference. #gogold #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth #littlehandsgoesgold2020

As a part of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, we are sharing the journeys of just some of our Heroes. Today it is the story of our amazing Warrior, Dominic. D...ominic was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma at just 9 years old (May 2019). Dominic completed 30 rounds of radiation and 9 cycles of chemotherapy. He finished treatment on August 4th, 2020. We are so proud of Dominic and are truly honoured to call this little boy our Hero. Keep smiling Buddy! We love you. #DominicisourHero #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth #littlehandsgoesgold2020
