New mixed media projects planning underway! -------- When we start a new session for kids mix it up, paint it up or adult sampler expect new projects ------- The curriculum planning is one of my favourite things. Interested in adding some graphic elements to your pottery? We are offering a two hour exploration of four popular surface decoration techniques, taught by @topopots . We will cover using sgraffito and mishima to add your drawn images onto your pottery. We will also go over how to apply underglaze transfers, as well as a few techniques to make your own transfers. Learn the... basics, plus tips and tricks to add decorations, patterns, and narratives to your pottery. These surface decoration techniques will be more than enough to get you started decorating your own pieces. Lovely little family workshop this afternoon! ----------- Today we made clay leaf magnets, and they are oh so adorable. ----------- Our family workshops are equal parts community project where we collaborate on a piece that lives in the studio for all to enjoy.... POTTERY ------------------ Looking to give pottery a try? ------------------ We have a variety of pottery classes and workshops for you AND your little ones!... ----------------- We offer one night workshops where you can come for two hours and try your hand at wheel thrown pottery. ----------------- Or if you'd like to try the entire creative pottery experience from start to finish, we have our 7 week beginner classes. New open studio dates added for the next couple weeks, including a couple Wednesday evenings. ------------ There is also some space for this evening 6-9pm ----------- We are opening up our ceramic studio! If you are a potter or dabble in ceramics, hand building or sculpture, and you are looking for studio space to work,this could be for you.... Our studio is fully equipped with 10 electric, two-direction pottery wheels, a full sized slab roller, large extruder, hand building clay forms and molds and large tables for working. You can register for as many sessions as you like, there is no minimum or maximum.
