Winter Campers having a blast decorating Christmas cookies this afternoon

Stained Glass Christmas Cookies We were inspired by the beautiful stained glass at the churches we grew up attending to make these beautiful Stained Glass Christmas Cookies. Here’s the recipe so you can make them at home too! ... 1 cup butter, soft 1 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs 1/4 tsp salt 3 cups flour Jolly Ranchers Hard Candy 1. Cream together butter and sugar. 2. Add vanilla and eggs and beat to combine. 3. Add salt to flour before adding both to the wet ingredients. 4. Mix until a dough is formed. 5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper (important). 6. Chill dough in fridge for 30 minutes before cutting into shapes with a cookie cutter. Place on the baking tray. Use a smaller cookie cutter of the same shape to cut out the centre of each cookie. 7. Add Jolly Ranchers (1 for small cookies, 2 for larger) to the centre of each cookie. 8. Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies begin to brown slightly. 9. Allow to cool completely before removing from tray- this will take at least 2 hours. 10. Optional- before baking, use a straw to poke a hole in each cookie to turn them into ornaments. ENJOY

We are so excited to announce that the total raised for our Keep Cave Springs Running Virtual Race Fundraiser is an astounding $14,236.37 We are blown away by the support of our community. Thank you to everyone who participated or donated. The amount raised will go towards keeping our beloved camp up and running for years to come. Congratulations to Ally Kamphuis who is the Top Fundraiser! ... A huge special thank-you shoutout to Lauren and Heather for their dedication and commitment to making this race happen. Another shoutout to Silver Spire United Church and Mountainview United Church who had members of their congregation out to walk in support of Cave Springs Camp. We appreciate you so much!
