Our Net Zero remodel is going to have thought put into the walls for energy performance AND sound control. We managed to save and reuse much of the original insulation as this home was previously outfitted with Rockwool Safe N' Sound within the interior walls. We are stepping it up in some key areas with Sonopan to check out this awesome material. Nothing like a triple brick house! The big bad wolf would have one heck of a time with this home. We will be merging a new ICF build to this 1800's triple brick construction. All the way from footing to truss! Underpinning of the rubble foundation is complete to allow for a new 9' lower level. When the client has a unique request, it is a thrill when we rise to the challenge! This home had barely enough room to get 8' sheets of drywall up the the loft. Luckily that's all we needed to rock out this spire. With careful engineering and some passionate craftsman, we brought together a smooth interior on the conical construction. For 20 years, the family of this home had been living in a crowded section of the 1960s-era home where living room, kitchen, family room and mudroom were packed into a matrix of separate spaces. After our team reconfigured the space, a focal-point fireplace and open concept kitchen was framed in a skylight-lit space with consistent hardwood flooring throughout. The good news keeps rolling in! We are so thrilled to share that CCR has been recognized by the Ontario Home Builders' Association's 2019 Awards of Distinction for Best Home Renovation & Best Kitchen Renovation! Our award-winning project - The Ravine Retreat - focussed on creating a true sanctuary for the homeowners to enjoy picturesque, sweeping nature views. Raised ceilings, large windows, covered deck with a workout studio and swim spa, outdoor yoga space - the amenities... built into this home are endless! We couldn't be more proud of our team and partner trades who helped bring this project to life.

The London Home Builders' Association Parade of Renovations was a massive success! We were so thrilled to show off a couple of our recent projects, and chat with so many Londoners about our work. One giant highlight of the day was when one of the former homeowners of 270 Huron St. stopped by and showed us this painting of the original home commissioned in the 60s! Cant wait for next year!

Project 1 of 2 featured on the London Home Builders' Association 2019 Parade of Renovations 28 Acorn Cres. The homeowners were looking for a more open layout for their main floor. CCR removed walls of the front living room and dining room to create one open living space connected to the kitchen. The kitchen had a railed half-wall along the stairs going to the basement. Changing this to a full wall allowed for much-needed cabinetry and countertop space. The result is an airy..., open, bright space that works much, much better for the homeowners!
