And the winner of the Xmas Quilt is Cheryl Christensen! The winner of a donated second prize - a wooden bowl made by Marc Harper, is Monica Brown. Congrats!! Thanks to Liette Hickey for donating the fabric and Sheryl O'Connor for quilting it. The raffle raised just over $1800 for the Central Gatineau Arena. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser.

The Annual General Meeting of the Central Gatineau Arena Association will be held on October 22, 2020 at 7pm, at the Heritage Hall, 4c Ch D’Amour, Low Quebec. Please RSVP ([email protected]) because the available places will be limited to 25 due to the COVID-19 health crisis. The General Assembly will be recorded and published on the Central Gatineau Arena website and Facebook.

The Central Gatineau Arena Association welcomes two new members: Francine Carpentier as Treasurer and Michael Desmarais as board member. Charlie Ann Dubeau, current board member, has assumed the position of secretary. The association looks forward to working with these new members and member in a new role. Thank you.

The Central Gatineau Arena Association has been planning to open the arena after the Thanksgiving weekend. However, the association is monitoring the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation in our region. At this time, the hydro has been turned on, but ice-making has not started. With much regret the Central Gatineau Arena Association is announcing that the Central Gatineau Arena is closing for the 2019-2020 season. All ice rentals and the two hockey tournaments (that had 22 teams booked) are cancelled. We wish to thank everyone who supported the arena this year whether it was by renting ice time, volunteering personal time or contributing in other ways. Take care of yourselves, stay safe and we’ll see you at the arena in October!

The Central Gatineau Arena in Low will be closed from Monday March 16th to Monday March 30th as per order of the Quebec Government.

You heard it here first folks, the Central Gatineau Arena is hosting a Music Festival this summer at Tucker Lake. But before that, the festival committee is looking for name and logo inspiration!
