This block building didn’t have any insulation. At all!!! The furnace runs non-stop. We plan on putting another 1/2 over top of the strapping and foam to provide an air seal and eliminate thermal bridging. With every fastener being pre-drilled into the block I’m thankful the hard work is done! At times it just seemed like work....and it is but the crew just keeps lifting each other up and all of the sudden the job is done. Thanks guys. It started off to be a perfect Thursday out of town kind-of work day. With a half hour earlier than normal start the three of us greeted each other with groggy smiles expecting a blissful day on the prairie. The forcast called for some snow... and we would soon discover it was the kind that slapped you hard in the face leaving an unnecessary sting. We had sun, we had fog, we had sleet, snow and a fierce snow squall all while setting up post, beams and roof trusses.... it ...was great. My exact works were this brings back memories...not sure of what or where, but it brings back memories. We continued to have a chuckle about many meaningless things, many things to entertain us three while going about our work. At some point during the day one of my number one guys said it was nice that you didn’t lose your cool when the tire blew, you handled it well and didn’t make us nervous or uneasy. Thank you he said. I was taken back by this comment and realized the just how important it is for those of us who look at our leadership to hold steady during trials. The tire incident only cost me a half hour and $135 thanks to some amazing service at a small town Husky. I thank the Lord for keeping everyone safe during the incident The inconvenience of the tire seemed to fade away into distant memory quickly. Being surrounded by my best mates, a great client and doing work that we love helped erased any negative impact of a lost tire, money and time. This post has one purpose. To give thanks to Five Point Electric Ltd. in Swift Current. After a short attempt a client decided this fan install was a little complicated for a non-professional, so he asked me set up the install with a pro. Naturally I called Royce @five point electric. The customer also asked for a short demo video. Mike here went above and beyond. He was quick, neat and provided a thorough video for the satisfaction of a valued client.
