ALL ABOARD ! This week in K4, we learned about transportation; trains, planes and automobiles. Together, we made Name Trains, took turns being the engineer and the conductor on our classroom chair train. They punching the tickets, took their seats and took us on an adventure. We went on our first field trip to the CN Train Yard and the train bridge. This was so fun and exciting. A memory we will remember. Chug Chug Toot Toot. As for Read Well Board, we have worked so hard ...on this. We only for letters five letter left to learn this year. We are amazing! Until next weekend, have a fun-filled weekend, Teacher Berta & Myrna

Good morning friends and family. As the days are going by, we are noticing that students are arriving without their masks. It is absolutely mandatory to wear a mask upon entering the building as well for riding the bus. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep up with the demand for masks for students. We kindly ask parents/guardians to make sure students have a mask before leaving home. Thank you all; stay safe and warm!
Hello Chalo community, We hope your Christmas holidays were amazing and everyone is well rested. Chalo is continuing with in-class instruction starting Monday, January 4th. With this being said, there are a few guidelines with our Covid-19 safety plan we want to reinforce: masks are mandatory for all staff and students, and, other than staff and students, no one is allowed to enter the school. ... We are looking forward to seeing everyone again! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Mussi!

It's a winter wonderland outside this morning, and I hope you are all snuggled up working on your online learning assignments, or checking in with your teachers in some way today, with plans to play and learn outside in the afternoon. We are ALL missing our yearly dinner and concert this year, so I thought it'd be nice to share some pictures of concerts of years gone past. Please pm them to Jacky Riggs or email them to [email protected]. Alternately, post in the comments if you are able.

Good evening Chalo community, Please see below correspondence from our Education Director, Ray Irwin, on behalf of our Community Education Authority. Due to the Covid19 activity in our community (Fort Nelson), it has been decided that Chalo will close for the week of December 14-18th and resume January 4th.... We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and that this is very short notice. This decision wasn’t made lightly, the last thing we want to do is jeopardize the safety of our children and staff. There will be online instruction starting Monday, your child’s classroom teacher will be in touch with details. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas, we know it looks different this year but please get out there and make it the best it can be! Mussi!
High School students continue to hone their harvesting skills in the early weeks of December. We were invited to assist in the filleting of some massive pike by Curtis and the FNFN Lands Department last Tuesday. On Friday, Raymond and the students snared a lynx, which they skinned and cooked this Monday.
