You don’t need to freak out & wash all of your food or packaging people! This is not a gastrointestinal virus that transmits through food. There currently is NO EVIDENCE that COVID-19 is transmitted through food or packaging.... Follow the simple rules for when you come home for practical food safety. CLEAN your surfaces & wash your hands before, during & often while food prepping. SEPARATE the raw from the perishable, and from dry goods etc. COOK what you intend to use right away or prep ahead for cooking later that day. STORE appropriately (fridge, freezer, pantry).
