Our fifth and final juror is Ottawa Citizen restaurant critic, Peter Hum. You won't recognize him critiquing your restaurant from this poster! Peter Hum has been the Ottawa Citizen’s restaurant critic since 2012 and has worked for the newspaper since 1990. He has also written about fine dining in Chicago, Montreal and Quebec City, has interviewed such renowned international chefs as Alice Waters, Elena Arzak and Wylie Dufresne, and is a certified Kansas City Barbecue Society judge. Catch all the jurors at Chef Fest tomorrow night!!

Our fourth juror is Ottawa Venues partner, David Crawford! Dave started his career in 1988, with a pub called On Tap. Since then he has owned and co-owned several different restaurants, including the Globe on Elgin, Village Cafe on Richmond, and several Ottawa Venues restaurants such as Steak & Sushi, Cornerstone, Lowertown, and Fat Tuesday’s.

Next up we have Guy Laflamme! Guy Laflamme is the Executive Director of the Ottawa 2017 Bureau, a not-for-profit responsible for planning and producing Canada’s 150th celebrations in Ottawa. With 25 years experience, Guy specializes in the creation, production and marketing of cultural, recreational and tourism products. Guy has been an integral part of the city’s numerous large-scale events and festivals in the city such as the Olympic Torch celebration and Harmony 2000.

Our next juror is CTV Morning Live Weather Host, Melissa Lamb! Melissa was born in the small town of Vankleek Hill about an hour east of Ottawa, but spent most of her youth growing up in Orleans. Melissa got her first television job in 2006, working as a reporter for a local program covering the Ottawa Senators. ... After covering the Stanley Cup Finals later that year she was hooked and went back to school to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Melissa worked at CHEX Television in Peterborough for two years before returning home to Ottawa to work at CTV.
