In accordance with the Government of Alberta's extension on current provincial restrictions, which are now in place until January 21, the Chestermere Recreation Centre will remain closed until that time. We continue to look forward to welcoming our members and guests back when it is possible to do so.

To limit the rapid spread of Covid-19 in our community, the provincial government has mandated that effective Sunday, December 13, the Chestermere Recreation Center must close the facility at a minimum, until January 12, 2021. Until close on Saturday, December 12, the building and all venue rentals will operate as usual under previously outlined restrictions this means if you have a booking between now and Saturday night, you can continue with your rental. Beginning Sunday..., December 13, all venue bookings (including church groups) are cancelled, as the building will be closed. All tenants, such as the Chestermere Whitecappers, Slap Shots Concession, Lakers Pro Shop and Olympus Boxing Gym, will be physically closed. If you have a venue booking scheduled during the closure, CRCA staff will be in touch to discuss credit or refund options. The CRCA office will remain closed, with staff working remotely. The CRCA Annual General Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th, is postponed until further notice due to new gathering restrictions. The meeting will take place at a later date once measures have eased.

After today’s Provincial restrictions announcement to ease the spread of COVID-19, the CRCA recognizes Members and customers may have questions about what this means for users and any upcoming bookings at the Rec Centre.
