It's winter time! The season of skating, rosy cheeks, and hot chocolate. Also the season for snow, and all the shovelling that comes with it. While shovelling all the white stuff is something that we have to deal with, especially after our most recent "snowmageddon," it's important to do so as safely as possible. Injuries from shovelling happen to many people every winter, ranging in severity from simple muscle strains and sprains to broken bones. Please note: If you are at risk for, or already have possible cardiac issues, please do not shovel snow without clearance from your doctor. https://www.health.com/fitness/right-way-shovel-snow
We are currently closed for massage therapy, but we are still open for chiropractic treatment!
THANK YOU! Today is Remembrance Day. I’m wearing my poppy in honor of this day. Whenever I think about the sacrifices of our veterans, one hundred thousand Canadians who gave their lives so we had the right to always live ours free, I am filled with so much gratitude this post could not contain its immensity here.THANK YOU! If you are planning on sending out those little trick or treaters here is some COVID safe tips to help your ghosts and goblins stay safe. Don't hand out candy if feeling ill or isolating Wear a non-medical mask that fully covers your nose and mouth Ask trick-or-treaters to knock or call out instead of ringing the doorbell Use tongs to hand out pre-packaged candy to avoid handling treats... Find creative ways to maintain distance from trick-or-treaters: Hand out treats from your driveway or front lawn, if weather permits Set up a table or desk to help keep yourself distanced Make candy bags and space them out on a table or blanket; don't leave out self-serve bowls of bulk candy Build a candy slide, candy catapult or other fun, non-touch delivery methods See more

Let us take this day to remember the many things that we are grateful for.

Im sure wed love to forget Januarys cold snap and were starting to warm up, but our bodies may be needing more TLC than normal. Did you know that cold weather can affect the immune system negatively? Our bodies work hard to supply a healthy amount of blood flow, and freezing weather can decrease that. Worse case scenario, hypothermia can occur if your body is losing heat faster than it produces it. So lets stay safe for the rest of this winter by dressing in several layers, staying indoors when needed and noticing the symptoms of hypothermia.
Has anyone fallen off of the wagon health-wise after the holidays? Well, youre not alone. Its super common to get into the routine of constantly treating yourself" or not wanting to exercise. Its cold, Its time consuming, it makes sense! Here are some tips to help you jump back into taking care of your body and getting back to your best self, whatever that may be!

Do you know where your hip pain might be coming from? Well, there is a lovely muscle called the PSOAS which is located in your lower back. There are two psoas muscles on each side of the back. The larger one is called the psoas major and the smaller the psoas minor. The psoas major, often known as the might psoas, originates at the spine around the bottom of the rib cage and runs down the thigh along the femur. The psoas major works by flexing the hip. The psoas minor also originates at the spine around the bottom of the rib cage, but it runs down to the bony pelvis. It acts to flex the lower spine.
Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy this time with your friends and family. We are currently closed from today until the 29th and will reopen for the 30th only. After the New Year, we will open our doors on January 2nd 2020!
Chiropractic can extend well beyond relieving pain. We use our body every day, and the stress from our usual routines (sleeping, walking, sitting, running, lifting, even typing!) can have an impact on the overall health of our musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic wellness plans help you maintain overall mobility and range of motion, keep your alignment and posture healthy, and avoid common pains in your back, joints and neck. Let us work together in creating an optimal Chiropractic Wellness Plan for you!
