Yesterday, the Government of Ontario announced a province-wide shutdown, to go into effect on Sat., Dec. 26, 2020, at 12:01 a.m. There are no changes to rules around regulated health care professionals. These professionals, including chiropractors, are permitted to remain open during the shutdown.

First day back in the office after a month off. It was nice to be able to help a few patients that have been struggling with some acute injuries. Hello to my patients. I hope that you and your family are doing well during these uncertain times. Chiropractic Rehabilitation Group will be booking patients who are in need for a chiropractic treatment. We will be taking every precaution to ensure your safety entering the office. Chiropractic is considered an essential service. Treatment is now available for acute/ emergency situations. This includes those suffering from severe musculoskeletal problems or pain. Also for thos...e patients with some form of ongoing pain where your condition would lead to a deterioration in your condition without chiropractic care. There will be no waiting in the waiting room but direct entry into a treatment room. We will also ask specific screening questions of everyone before booking an appointment to ensure your safety. ** A 2007 Study comparing Chiropractic to Medicine** Do not ignore your future health Research suggests that patients who are managed by chiropractors compared to those managed medically take fewer drugs, require less surgery, and are less likely to be hospitalised. In a study published in 2007 Researchers compared seven years of health claims from chiropractors to a similar group of health claims from medical doctors. What they found was a 60% decrease in hospital admissions, 62% decrease in outpatient surgery and procedures, and an 85% reduction in pharmaceutical costs for the patients managed by chiropractors compared to the conventional medical management. This may mean that chiropractic care for older adults will result in fewer drugs and less medical intervention and its associated adverse effects.
