I think a lot of students think practicing their Kung Fu only refers to at class ( which is a couple hours a week). Remember 20% of your training is at class. 80% is done on your own at home.
Playing some Hung Kuen last night at the school.
Leung Kam Kwong passed away at 83 years old, on December 5, 2020. He was born on March 24, 1937 in Guangzhou, China. Through his uncle Lau Jeung Yan, Leung Kam Kwong became acquainted with his first Hung Gar teacher Mr. Cheung Wo, who was a student of Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing. Mr. Cheung Wo had not established his teaching facility so Leung Kam Kwong studied under him for only a few years. In 1953, he began his formal study under Master Wong Lei, a long-time student of the ...late Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing and Grandmaster Lam Jo, at Wong Lei Athletic Association in Mongkok Portland Street, Hong Kong. Master Leung fulfilled a lifelong wish in 1965 to train under Grandmaster Lam Jo, godson of the late Grandmaster Lam Sai Wing. He also learned lion dance and bone setting in 1965 from Mr.Chan Nam, a good friend of Master Wong Lei. In 1968, he officially established his own bone setting clinic and martial arts school at 808 Canton Road, Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong. Master Leung Kam Kwong was well known for teaching his students with heart and sincerity, according to his student Master Wong Chung Man. His students established several associations in his name, Kit Sum Tong, Shing Sum Tong, Chung Ying Athletic Association and the 808 Student Association. He is survived by his wife and son, Leung Man.

Training at home during the Corona virus. Right now most Kung Fu schools have closed their doors to help stop the spread of the Corona virus ( COVID 19). This does not mean you can’t devote the time you would have been at class to training at home. Everyone has parts of their training that needs work.... Set aside time to stretch, go over your sets and practice things that need your attention. You would have used this time anyway to train if you were attending classes. So don’t use this time to take a vacation from your Kung Fu training, but rather continue, just under different circumstances. I know it’s hard to motivate yourself when training alone, but hopefully this is only temporary and we can all get back to normal soon. So stay home, stay away from crowds, play your part. The sooner we eliminate this virus, the sooner we can get back to normal life. So keep the faith, stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates, motivate posts, etc. If we can’t get back to classes in April, we will figure out a solution that will work, keep training. See more

Like I said ... if you know the Chinese at all, you would know that being "monotone" is a no no. From cuisines/rituals/music to kung fu.....diversities is celeb...rated. Even within my Fuzhou clans ..... arrrggghhhh don't even start me. Right.......that off my chest. This is another "Tiger Crane" from Taiwan Hung Gar. Same name but ..........
Remember training at class is only about 20% of your actual training, 80% is on your own at home.
Students training hard at class tonight.
Internal & external are connected through the breath.
I know nobody is happy with this pandemic, but it is the best time to start a training program, seeing we have more time on our hands. Take advantage of this time to get in better shape. Remember wear a mask, wash your hands and keep a safe distance from others.
Interesting version of Fu Hok zseung Ying Kuen.

Some exercise you might want to try.

Practicing the whip chain during the pandemic.
Lesson before class tonight.
First night with our 50 flat screen, using Zoom.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support. During this pandemic we have had to make a lot of alterations to how we run class ( online, training in the park and now the split Zoom program ). Without your support the school would have closed like so many other small businesses have. We would have lost the opportunity to help spread our Art. So once again thank you very much for supporting the school through these difficult times. I look forward to the new program we have implemented, see everyone on Monday. Some in person at class and some on Zoom....Sifu
Always interesting to see how other Hung players play their Hung Kuen.
