Superior Season's producers had a good meeting last night. It was nice to see old friends again. We believe the online farmers market format is ideal for the times and the future. Thanks to Kevin and Jodi Belluz for making it happen, and for Kim Milne for managing the orders and distribution. Watch Chocolate Cow and Superior Seasons for new fall and Christmas products.

What better way to start the week than with some snail mail goodies from Visit Thunder Bay! I plan to get up there this year as soon as it's safe to travel (it'...s one of the awesome Ontario road trips you should think about taking https://ivebeenbit.ca/best-ontario-road-trips/), but these goodies will help satisfy my wanderlust until that day comes! What's all in here? A little something to light my fire here in Southern Ontario... or should I say light my MOUTH on fire. You might recognize Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co. as they were on not one but two seasons of the YouTube series Hot Ones (if you don't know it, go watch it). If you're a hot sauce fan at all, you gotta try it. You know it's gouda be a good day when cheese shows up at your doorstep! Thunder Oak Cheese Farm's Garden Herb Gouda Cheese is so good that you just might eat the whole wedge in one sitting. No, I'm not speaking from experience... I'm definitely more about the savoury versus the sweets however Chocolate Cow had me at first bite. These chocolates are udderly delicious and made fresh by hand so you know you're in for a real treat! I can't resist a good beer and I was so excited to see not one but two brews from Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. including their limited edition Once City Pilsner to celebrate the city's 50th birthday! What girl doesn't love a little bling? You might not know that Ontario's official gemstone is an amethyst which you can mine for yourself at Amethyst Mine Panorama! As you can see, Willow gives it her stamp of a-purr-val though she may not realize it means I'll be away once it's time to go visit... Thunder Bay has hands down been at the top of my Ontario bucket list for a few years now. While it was first because of Kakabeka Falls aka the "Niagara of the North", I've discovered there's so much I want to see and do! From Sleeping Giant Provincial Park to their famous Persian Rolls, I'm already excited for the day I can explore this part of Northern Ontario. Have you ever been to Thunder Bay? If so, what's a place you think I have to check out when I visit? If you haven't, which of these businesses above would you check out first?

Very unique Icelandic lamb product from our daughter's sheep farm in Nolalu Ontario! The pepperettes are quite big and are very tasty! Ready for local delivery or cross-Canada shipping by Canada Post.

We are pleased to announce and promote our family's Stalwart Farm lamb products in our webstore. Icelandic Lamb is unique to Thunder Bay. It is known as the lamb that tastes quite different. We now have local lamb, local Thunder Oak gouda cheese and of course local chocolate ready to be delivered to a your Drop Box within Thunder Bay. We have suspended cross-Canada shipments for the safety of Postal and Freight workers.... Why is cheese and lamb now on our chocolate webstore? Good question. We know that some of our customers must remain isolated and can not shop at the grocery stores that carry our products. This has made a distribution gap. Webstores take time to build, link to payment methods and promote.. Chocolatecow.net provided a solution to fill the gap and help our customers get our products and our family and neighbors to sell their products. Once this distribution crisis is over, and it will be, we will reassess this method and perhaps build a broader webstore or join in with other local collaborations. Take care everyone!
