The 2018 Real Estate numbers are in for RAHB (Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington). The numbers are inclusive of RAHB's entire Market Area. Number of sales were down 17.5% in 2018 over 2017. Not completely surprising after the crazy Spring Market of 2017. A little pull back and take-a-breath for Buyers and Sellers. The average sale price for RAHB for 2018 was $566,328. This number is down 1% from 2017. Again, not surprising.... Hamilton still squeaked out a +0.6% increase in 2018 over 2017. Burlington was down -3.7%. Niagara down -6.4%. Again, not surprising, as Buyers and Sellers try to find what is realistic market value. The average days on the market for properties rose to approx. 30 days, which is good for Buyers and still very reasonable for Sellers. 2019 is predicted to be a good balanced year for the Real Estate market. C21 Life Hack: Use ice cubes to get out wrinkles Irons are sooo yesterday. Put two ice cubes in the dryer with one or two pieces of clothing and place it on the hottest setting. The ice melts and turns to steam, getting the wrinkles out (works best on lighter clothing, not heavy items).
