The season of Advent starts this Sunday! We have organized a number of offerings, both virtual and in-person, to help deepen your devotional practices (and have fun!) as we start a new Church year. The list includes talks, unique worship, prayer and conversational opportunities, and music. Check out the list and listen to an audio clip of Kurt Schmidt, Director of Christian Formation, describe the options.

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit tourism-dependent Honduras very hard, and the Anglican churches headed by the Revs. Nelson and Kara Mejia have responded by helping feed hundreds of out-of-work people each week. But money already raised is running out, and they could use your help to keep it going! Kara is the daughter of the Rev. Gordon and Bell Thompson in the Diocese of Fredericton.

Join us tomorrow evening at 5:30 pm for virtual Taizé worship, a simple and contemplative blend of prayer, song and silence. All are welcome, regardless of location - that's the beauty of connecting online! In the past we have welcomed participants from several countries, along with members of our Cathedral congregation.
Canadian churches and faith-based organizations under For the Love of Creation have launched two programs to increase dialogue on climate change as part of its faith-based campaign to transition to net zero by 2050. For the Love of Creation’s Faithful Climate Conversations aim to create space for supportive, values-based conversations on climate change that motivate people of faith to take action. Hosts and facilitators will be equipped and supported to lead structured dis...cussions. A public Online Forum will support public dialogue on climate change with a series of hour-long sessions every Monday in November at 8:30 p.m. AT. Topics: climate justice; grieving, healing and creation care. PWRDF is pleased to be part of a growing list of national faith bodies and faith-based organizations that have come together to make a meaningful contribution to address the climate crisis. The initiative engages people individually and in community in a climate conversation centred around theological reflection, local engagement, and political advocacy.
Wise words from C.S. Lewis.
CHRISTMAS ANGELS - Outreach Committee chair Penny Ericson provides a cheque for $1,800 to a delighted Chris Fougère, client intake manager at the Greener Village Food Bank. The money covers the cost of 60 toys and stocking stuffers ordinarily donated by the cathedral congregation under the Christmas Angels program for needy families. The committee felt it could not operate that program in the normal way during the pandemic, but it did not want to disappoint the children.
