Happy first of December, everyone! Here in the GTA, we got welcomed with a snow storm And what better way to warm up than with a nice bowl of soup? I like to always make sure that mine includes a source of protein, fibre, and carbs in order to stay satiated. Here I’ve included noodles, chicken, peas, carrots, and celery - the most comforting food!... What kind of foods or drinks do you like to cozy up to? Share it down below and let’s all get some ideas Hope you all stay nice and warm today!

With a bunch of new faces around here, I figured it was time to reintroduce myself. So hello, and welcome! My name is Christine and I am a Registered Dietitian in Toronto, Ontario, primarily working in a long-term care facility, while managing my own private practice which is going through some exciting changes at the moment! Here are five facts about me I will forever pick salty foods over sweet foods. I have never had a sweet tooth (this also means that I’m not a fa...n of ice cream or chocolate - sorry to disappoint ), but I’ll take all the chips and fries in the world! I love wearing the colour black and spicing up an outfit with accessories - so classy and chic! Contrary to everyone knowing what career they wanted to get into - that was not the case for me. I did not think that I wanted to be in this field before I got into it (I thought I wanted to work in the food industry and in public health), but here I am, working with a focus in clinical dietetics. I hate watching movies. Is it just me? I would much rather watch shorter shows/episodes. I can be both an introvert and an extrovert, depending on the setting I’m in and who I’m with! Did you know that the World Health Organization defines health as , , - . Back in my first year of university (quite some time ago now), I was CONFUSED! ? ? I couldn’t believe that being healthy was more comprehensive and well-rounded than I thought. So why is it that we only focus on what we eat? We often label foods... as healthy or unhealthy, and that appears to become the focus of whether someone is of good health or not. , ’ , , ’ , which is such a flawed way of thinking. Let’s just think about this for a moment - a state of complete , , -. We often equate someone who is skinny as being healthy and someone who is of a larger frame size as unhealthy. Little do you know that the individual in a smaller frame could be battling an eating disorder that you know nothing about. Would you now consider that individual to be healthy? This definition of health has stuck out to me ever since I took that course, and it has always been the core of my practice. Let us shift our perspective and outlook, while taking a more holistic approach to our health. Leave me a comment down below and tell me what you like to do to live a healthful life See more

CREAMY AVOCADO CHOCOLATE PUDDING This pudding is the easiest thing to make and can all simply be made in a blender within 2 minutes! Since I’m not a fan of chocolate, this was a hit in my household and is a great option for those with a sweet tooth ... Here’s the dEATS: Combine 1 avocado, 1.5 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp cacao powder, a handful of raspberries, 1/2 cup milk, and a pinch of salt in a blender. Blend well until smooth and enjoy with whatever toppings you like! Note: you can change the amount of milk you use - less milk = thicker consistency, and more milk = creamier consistency. You can serve it right away, or chill it for a bit in the fridge first for a more refreshing taste! Comment down below and let me know if you try this out

Is it just me or is getting a good night’s sleep getting harder these days? I seem to be waking up earlier and earlier as each day goes by, and I am really starting to feel the side effects of it This is why I’ve turned to this blueberry moon milk latte by @vitalproteins! It has ingredients including melatonin, GABA, and magnesium - all which provide relaxation and get you ready for a good night of sleep. Other things that I like to do before bed include having a warm showe...r, reading, or watching a fun show. What are some things that you like to do to relax before bed?
