Tip Tuesday As we head into fall, its time to change your summer skincare routine to a fall-winter routine! Here are a few products you need to switch and why, as the seasons change 1. Summer days can be hot, humid and sometimes sweaty which can mean clogged pores. Your summer cleanser does its job of clarifying/exfoliating to help with any dirt and grime on your skin. As we transition into fall you will want more of a gentler/hydrating cleanser for the colder days... and drier skin. 2. We all know that retinol is a game changer, however in the summer the increased sun exposure mixed with retinol can lead to uncomfortable skin or even sunburns. For this reason retinol should be used the bare minimum in the summer and more into the fall! With the added cloud cover and decreased light intensity its safer to introduce your skin to more retinol products. 3. During summertime the increase in humidity makes it a bit easier to skip moisturizer. Unfortunately, autumn is not so kind. Once fall hits its best to get into the habit of applying daily moisturizer. As the days get cooler, itll help prevent dry itchy skin. 4. With decreasing humidity, comes increasingly dry skin and lips! Choose a good lip balm you can lather on at night and throughout the day. This will ensure your lips are prepped for lipsticks or lip crayons on date nights or girls nights out. See more
