But with all those upsides can come one major quandary: where do you safely store all that extra stuff like sports equipment, files & records, decorations and out-of-season clothing? While some buildings may provide enclosed areas to ...Continue reading

Calgary in the Springtime. Top Three Practices: 1. You keep rain boots, sandals and winter boots in your car for your lunch hour wander away from the office. Just in case. 2. You’re unwilling to take off your winter tires. Who knows what it’ll be like tomorrow. 3. Eyes wide open for new potholes!

Springtime Closet Organization It’s the season to switch out your wardrobe from fall/winter to spring/summer. See it as an excellent opportunity to sort through the good, the bad and the ugly in your closet! Purging lessens the clutter and brings peace of mind. Begin by sorting and deciding what you want to keep in storage. Set everything else aside for your favorite charity. For the pieces you are storing, sort into three groups: footwear, folded clothing and clothing on h...angers. Wash and dry-clean your clothes thoroughly before putting them in storage. Use wardrobe boxes for your clothing on hangers. Remove the dry-cleaning bags and air out the clothing before you add to the box. Use slim, sturdy hangers rather than wire. Make sure that groups of hangers are all facing in the same direction and use a rubber band or small Zip-tie to tightly secure several together at once so they are easier to handle and organize. I recommend using garment bags to store your fancy wear. Whenever possible, roll your clothes instead of folding. It helps to maximize the space and prevents fold lines when removed from storage. For clothes that do no roll easily, use tissue paper between layers to reduce wrinkling. These clothes can be put into storage boxes or plastic bins with lids. Always label contents. For your winter boots/footwear, store in airtight plastic containers. This eliminates odor. Clean and polish your boots first and stuff with plain newsprint sheets or tissue paper to absorb and wick away any moisture and keep them shaped. CityBox Storage has rental units available in closet size. A perfect solution to keep you organized.
