With confirmed COVID cases rising in BC and the latest update from Dr. Henry we will be adjusting our upcoming plans to ensure that we are contributing to our collective efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. As of November 19th indoor worship events and social gatherings of any size will no longer be allowed. Therefore, our planned in-person service on November 29th is cancelled. Sunday services will continue online every week on our FB page and YouTube channel at 1030AM. ...We have been eagerly anticipating being together, but with the rising case numbers in our province and specifically our region we fully support this decision for the prioritized care of our neighbours, and families represented at City Collective. As this Christmas season approaches, the well-being of our communities must be prioritized. We are not going to be meeting in-person but that does not mean we stop being the church, especially during this time, we know Christmas can be lonely and even more so now with the restrictions. Let’s not let the days just roll by, instead lets be considerate and proactive in reaching out to one another. Remember Paul’s words Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:11-13 NIV) Stay tuned with more updates as they roll out but know that we love you and are praying for each of you. In light of Dr. Bonnie Henry’s most recent update in response to the coronavirus, we will be cancelling our previously planned HUBs for November 15 and move to a completely online format for the 15th and 22nd. Our service planned for the 29th remains scheduled but we will remain vigilant and flexible according to ongoing updates from our provincial health authority. This remains on our heart: we desire to live a life reflective of Jesus. Count these two weeks as an opportuni...ty to intentionally reach out to one another and speak encouragement. Pray for our church family, our leaders, those on the front lines, those who are isolated, and those who are struggling in different ways due to this pandemic.
