Over the weekend, 9-1-1 and the non-emergency police line received a lot of calls with questions related to compliance with the mandatory order. These calls push the capacity of these lines for police, fire and medical emergencies and are best addressed at the provincial level. Compliance efforts are led by Justice and Public Safety. A toll-free provincial line and email address has been set up to help answer non-health related questions, including questions about enforcement... and compliance with the mandatory order. The number, 1-844-462-8387, is operational seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The email address is [email protected]. Concerns about workplace safety should be directed to WorkSafeNB.

SAINT JOHN TRANSIT UPDATE: Good news! Given the Saint John zone has returned to the yellow phase, we will be increasing the seated capacity on all buses, effective Friday, December 11. In order to do this, we all have a role to play: We continue to sanitize our buses daily and continue our COVID-19 safety measures to ensure the bus is a safe method of transportation for you. When on the bus, please always wear your mask! If you are medically exempt from wearing a mask, ...ensure you are allowing physical distancing to ensure other passengers feel safe on the bus. Please sit at least one row away from others. If a bus is too full to permit distancing when it arrives at your stop, you will be required to wear a mask or wait for the next bus. These changes are implemented in accordance with the Province of New Brunswick’s COVID-19 recovery phases. For more information on these phases, visit: https://bit.ly/3n27HoM.
