Fraudsters will often advertise animals for free; puppies and kittens are used most often. They will claim that the animal is free; however, the victim will be ...required to pay shipping. Once the payment is received, the fraudsters will begin to request additional payments for: transportation cage, vaccinations, medication, insurance, customs and brokerage fees, etc. #FPM2021 #kNOwfraud #showmetheFRAUD #BeScamSmart See more

Every night at 9 p.m. homeowners are encouraged to ensure the following checklist is complete: Remove valuables and garage door opener from vehicles... Lock vehicles Close overhead garage door Lock door between garage and house Close and lock all external doors Ensure windows are closed and locked Turn on an exterior light Protect yourself and your property. As farmers harvest their beans and soon corn, drivers are reminded to be more vigilant on our roads, especially during dusk and dawn, which is when most collisions with deer occur. Being aware and taking precautions can reduce collisions, save lives and protect wildlife: - Scan the road ahead from shoulder to shoulder for any movement. - Use high beams at night, when possible, and watch for the glowing eyes of animals. ... - If an animal is crossing the road, stop as safely as possible, in your lane. - Remember, if one animal crosses the road, others may follow. - Never swerve suddenly. This may cause you to lose control of your vehicle, resulting in a more serious collision. For more information on how to reduce your chances of hitting an animal, please see http://www.mto.gov.on.ca//dr/handbook//section2.10.7.shtml
