November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month! Senior pets are generally passed over in favour of younger animals at shelters. A common misconception is that senior pets will need a lot of veterinary care. However older pets don’t necessarily have costly medical problems. Seniors make loving companions, they are generally more mellow that puppies and kittens, they are already house trained and have already moved through the destructive chewing phase of life. As of Monday the Hamilton area will be classified in the Red Zone COVID protocols. With this in mind here are some friendly reminders: Please remember to wear a face mask when you bring your pet for his/her scheduled appointment. The mask should cover your nose and mouth. This is for staff and client safety as we will need to approach you in order to take your pet’s leash or carrier and transfer them inside the clinic. Please bring your cell phone to your appointment and... call the clinic at (905) 689 8005 to check in when you arrive. Please keep your phone with you while your pet is inside and keep the ring tone turned on so the veterinarian can reach you to discuss your pet’s health and answer any questions you may have. Please remain in our parking area once your pet has been brought inside the clinic for their appointment. The doctor will call you shortly and begin your consult. See more
