It’s another good mail day. I recieved this great package from @newnorthpress for the @revertingtotype2020exhibition that I was truly honoured to be part of. This year events close to home have made me really motivated to use my press to be part of changecreating a more inclusive, positive & sustainable world for ALL humans. This exhibition in London, UK. has been inspiring to see all the causes we can support, and changes we can make. Due to Covid the in-person exhibit has ...been truncated, but there is a wonderful website and IG account and all of the prints are available for sale there. There is also some great writing and thought by @blountben and @expeditionpress among others. Thank you Graham, Richard & Beatrice for hosting this great project. It’s been a while since I’ve invested in a new font. The main reason is the cost seems to continue to rise for any complete font. Once in a while something comes up on eBay that seems reasonable, like this one. At $300 USD I could handle the expenditure. What’s amazing is how fast it escalates: add $65 USD for shipping, $100 for exchange and $61 of brokerage fees and before you know it you’re at $550. Now I remember why I don’t do that often. Still... it’s a lovely Tuscan Extended that’s complete three times over and has lots of @hatchshowprint flair to it. It’s all cleaned and tucked away ready to be used for some album cover project.
