Happy Thanksgiving weekend friends! We have always considered the week of the Norfolk County Fair and Thanksgiving to be the peak of harvest on our farm. These traditions aren't the same this year but it is still the absolute best time to celebrate the season with fresh apples. This weekend we will have our largest collection of varieties available this season that are all grown right here in Norfolk County on our family farm. Ambrosia, Hidden Rose, Aurora Golden Gala, Snowsw...eet, Honeycrisp, Creston, Crimson Crisp, Empire, Northern Spy, Tolman Sweet, Mutsu, Golden Delicious, Golden Russet and a smaller quantity of a few other varieties are all available at the barn today. Hello October! We have a nice selection of apples to choose from on this beautiful fall day. We currently have Sweet Sixteen, Aurora Golden Gala, Snowsweet, Crimson Crisp, Honeycrisp, Golden Supreme, Silken, Empire, Gala, Cortland as well as Bosc pears.... Pink Pearl. This red fleshed apple has a very tart flavour. We only have a few trees of this variety which means only a handful are available at the barn. If you enjoy red fleshed apples, check in with us in early October for Hidden Rose which is still tart but much nicer for eating out of hand. Open Monday to Saturday 9-5 Sunday 10-4

Did you know that the Frostbite apple is a grandparent to Honeycrisp? This small apple has a unique flavour and is often described as tasting like cranberries. We have a small quantity of this variety picked for the weekend but will have more this coming week once the temperature cools down. We also have Honeycrisp, Golden Supreme, Silken, Empire, Macs, Gala, Russet Bosc pears, local peppers and tomatoes and Bennett's Cider. Open Saturday 9-5... We had our first pick of Silken yesterday which means that they are available in the barn starting TODAY! This Honeygold x Sunrise cross has been one of our personal favourites on the farm for many seasons. Silken has a nice thin skin, sweet flavour and is low in acidity. These qualities are a few of the many reasons why we consider this apple to be one of the best of the early season varieties. We cant wait for you to try them.... We have Gloria peaches for sale in the barn today that were only picked this morning. This large freestone peach is low in acid and has a great sweet flavour. Hurry to get yours now! They wont be around for very long.

Thank you SO much for all of the support so far this season. It has been so nice to see all of you. We just want you to know that we will be CLOSED for the day on Thursday September 3rd, while we are out picking more apples in preparation for the weekend. We are short staffed in the orchard as our harvest crew is still slowly starting to arrive. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We have a nice variety of apples to choose from today. Gingergold is a delicious sweet apple that is great for eating as well as baking ... Zestar has a unique sweet flavour Sunrise has a nice thin skin and is a good eating apple Dandee Red is a variety of Paula Red and has the flavour of a Macintosh We also have Clapp Pears which are sweet and great for eating We have a light crop of these early varieties so they likely wont last long. Friends! We will be opening our doors for the season THIS Saturday, August 29th at 9:00 am! We cant wait to get this season started and already have a nice selection of apples to choose from. You will likely be seeing a line as we are only allowed to have 4 individuals in at one time, with arrows and a par...tition directing you a certain way. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Unfortunately we are not able to provide samples (something that makes us very sad, as this is our favourite part of the barn) and we also cant do mixed bags. That was quick! Due to an overwhelming response to our donut peaches we sold out within twenty minutes. Thank you to everyone who came out. We appreciate all the support.

Tangos 1 & 2 are being picked today and will be available tomorrow (August 19th) from 9:00 - 1:00 or until we sell out. ... *Cash Only* These peaches are tree ripened and ready to eat now, so please only take what you need. A mask or a face covering MUST be worn while inside the barn and we ask that you respect others space by remaining socially distant from one another. A big thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to get some early apples. We will be open today from 9-1 and will be closed for the rest of the week. We plan to officially open on Saturday August 31st and remain open until October 31st.

Its about that time friends. We are planning on opening our doors on Sunday August 25th for the season. We will have Sunrise, Zestar, Redfree and Gravenstein varieties. Looking forward to seeing all of you and getting this harvest started.
