We are all about that perfect ice cream to cone ratio. There’s something about that satisfying crunch; the bite between the licks. Bigger can be more impressive to the eye but less is more when you are enjoying every single mouthful.... The curse of too many cherries Their flowers are beautiful in the spring but also create some problems.... When they don’t get picked, the rotten fruit has Luna feasting for days as they fall to the ground ... And with a small orchard (5 tress!), it can be a bit troublesome. The BE Freezer is officially stocked; thank you for your patience There are a few changes to note as we re-establish ourselves as the best ice cream in town We are stoked to be introducing a brand new base made just for us in Port Coquitlam by Meadow Fresh... The forecast was showers We had finally gotten approvals to make and sell ice cream for real, not just at the farmer’s market (turns out people don’t eat ice cream for breakfast??) As I was getting things set up, there was a knock on the door; the by-law officer was checking in to make sure we weren’t breaking any rules.... I assured him, we would not be selling anything and that our production took place in a certified commercial kitchen and that we were not anticipating a large number of people. The Cloud Nine Launch Party was our way of letting people know that we were a legit community staple... because backyard hangouts just scream professional right?!?! With the rain headed our way, we managed to set up our Walmart special gondola and hoped our samples would not go to waste. From puppies to kiddos, friends, family, and some brand new faces; we felt the love for ice cream that night. In the end, itwas a successful event with lots of flavours tested, many more suggested, and all the mmm and ooo noises we could ask for. Because watching people enjoy our ice cream never gets old ****We are back in production Monday!!! Happy Easter! Hope everyone is staying healthy and enjoying the return of the sunshine. As we take a pause in our production, there’s been some flavour experimenting happening at home. It’s been fun to pull out the ice cream books and be inspired. We also want to take this time to thank everyone for their patience while we wait to return to production.
