Thank you so much Bianca Amor's Liquidation Supercentre and United Way Regina for the very generous donation of PPE supplies. We are so appreciative of this donation as it helps us to continue being able to do the work we do in a safe and supportive environment. #generosity #communitiescomingtogether
This #PinkShirtDay, our focus is working together and treating others with dignity and respect. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all and shown the importance of helping one another and advocating for those who need it. Help us lift each other up and support programs that encourage healthy self esteem and teach empathy, compassion and kindness. Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and online. Over the month of February, and throughout the year, CKNW Kids' Fund's Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness of these issues, as well as raise funds to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem.
Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is #PinkShirtDay! On February 24, 2021, we encourage everyone to practice kindness and wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.
Together for a better internet! The past year has shown how important it is for children to grow up in a digital environment where they can communicate, learn, create and share positively. This @SaferInternetDay, let’s make it a reality for them. Visit www.saferinternetday.org
**Update: We have left for the day. BUT our doors will again be open as a safe place to warm up the rest of this week from 9:30 until 5:30.** We are closed to...day but we know what it’s like to be without and to be left out in the cold. So, we’ve opened up the shop today to ANYONE and EVERYONE who needs to get warm. We have extra masks and hand sanitizer and plenty of room to Social distance. Coffee is on and the door is open. 856 B Dewdney Ave. RMX Digital
If you or someone you know is experiencing violence, dial or text, 2-1-1; or, visit www.sk.211.ca. If it’s an emergency, contact 9-1-1.
If you are lost, cold, scared or hurt, hold up your hand in the direction of an approaching Regina Transit bus. Bus operators are trained to recognize this as... a sign of distress and will stop to help you. Make sure to download our Safe Bus Colouring and Activity Book to help explain the Safe Bus program to your child. Stay warm and safe Regina! http://ow.ly/3Vul50Co8eT.
If you are needing someone to talk to please reach out. CMHA Regina Wellness Response Line is there for you 306-535-4292. A very big thank you to THE MVMNT for raising $675 for Canadian Mental Health Association, Regina Branch. As part of their entrepreneurial class at Miller High School, THE MVMNT decided to sell sweatshirts to raise money for mental health, raise awareness in our community, and normalize talking about mental health. THE MVMNT donated 15% of all revenue raised to CMHA Regina Branch.... What an incredible initiative by these students and make sure to join in their movement for a mentally healthier tomorrow! Check them out on Instagram at the.mvmnt20 to get involved.
We're excited to launch the #TalkToday program with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Yorkton Hyundai Terriers Junior Hockey Club and the Melville Millionaires Jr A this season! With the support of the Canadian Junior Hockey League, the NHL Foundation and The Fifth Line Foundation, this initiative will bring mental health awareness and suicide-prevention training to Jr. A hockey players across the province and help to reduce stigma and discrimination about mental health.
