Sophie was an extraordinary mooter and friend to us in the first years of our organization. We will always remember her kindness and wit fondly. Hello mooters! Registration is now open for Fall 2020 tryouts. Please read this post in full and fill out the form linked below to sign up for a tryout date and time. In order to keep everyone safe during this time, we will be running moot fully online this semester. Therefore, our tryouts will also be conducted online via Zoom. Please sign up for a time slot now, and we will be contacting you via email with the Zoom invitation closer to the date. Tryouts will be relatively s...hort (15 minutes per person), but there is some preparation expected beforehand. We will be releasing a short case for you to read and analyze prior to your tryout. This does not have to be a formal and fully fleshed out legal analysis - we will mostly be asking you to talk about the case so we can get a sense of your understanding and public speaking ability. Congratulations to our Osgoode Cup 2020 delegation! Concordia was well represented this weekend with impressive advocacy skills, legal knowledge, and professionalism. This delegation made Concordia history with two teams making it into the top 16 and onto the second day of the competition. Out of 120 teams, CMLS Co-Presidents Syd Taylor and Quinn Bunke ranked 7th overall - the highest scoring team in Concordia moot history. ... CMLS Vice President Garvin Brutus and his co-counsel Fawaz Halloum, a first time mooter, ranked 14th. Congratulations again to all of our dedicated mooters this semester, and we hope to keep this momentum of success moving forward!

Come say hi at the CSU Clubs Fair tomorrow! Our execs will be there all day, and it’s a great opportunity to introduce yourself and have any burning questions answered. Also - it’s not too late to sign up for tryouts!
