Are you curious and want to join us for a fascinating exploration of mindful wellbeing with Mudras (hand gestures)? Health is at your fingertips! Mudras are used for healing, concentration, and expanding consciousness, and they are an essential part of Indian Dance. At the virtual session on November 4, you will have the opportunity to learn some of the Mudras and stretching that can prevent various ailments. Koyali Burman will talk about Indian classical dance hand movement through a therapeutic dance lens, referencing the healing properties of Indian classical dance on the mind, body and soul. Paul’s 20 years of paid work with CNH is actually a small part of his long-time, broad involvement and activism in the neighbourhood. Paul started volunteering with CNH in the mid-‘90s on CNH’s Board of Directors. His love of the arts also showed up in some of his other volunteer work as he founded the Collingwood Music Club, designed and helped produce the Spirit of Collingwood Mural and also helped to produce the Faces of Our Neighbourhood Festival, the pre-cursor to Collin...gwood Days. He was a founding member of Collingwood Days. Paul’s involvement with CNH’s Communications Committee led to him helping to turn the CNH Newsletter into the Renfrew-Collingwood Community News. He is proud of the fact that the newspaper was instrumental in saving two local historic landmarks, Firehall 15 and Carleton Schoolhouse. It's been one year since RISE Community Health Centre (CHC) had its opening ceremony for the clinic room at CNH! Since then, the RISE team has grown from five to 18 staff members. We have also expanded into new clinical space at 5198 Joyce Street and have had over 3,500 interactions with community members, in addition to matching 185 clients with a primary care provider. Kundalini Yoga for seniors is back! This weekly class takes place on Mondays at 10:30 am. To register, call 604-435-0323.

Join us Thursday evenings for a combined vinyasa flow yoga and meridian yoga therapy class! Participants release tension, and increase flexibility, mental focus, cardio conditioning and muscle development. Led by Eda, this yoga practice helps us work on our body, mind, and spirit to offer a holistic experience. This class is $57.00/12 sessions and is open to all levels and body types. It is safe to say that Lucinda Donaldson has impacted the Renfrew-Collingwood community with her popular gymnastics program since she started working at CNH in July 1999. After 20 years, Collingwood has become an extension of her family... She says, I love the community that is Collingwood. Trained and experienced as a Nursery Nurse (the British equivalent of a Child Care Worker), Alison Merton joined CNH in 1995.
