This proverb has me thinking today. As I look at setting my goals for 2021, I look at how I did on my goals for 2020. My results were completely because of my thoughts, my words and my actions not only from this year but the previous year(s).... What goals did you set for 2020? I don't have to say it's a tough time for everyone right now, you know that. I know I was struggling with a combination of Perimenopause, SAD, and Isolation, with my husband being away half the time it's a bit lonely. I had to pause and remember the ways to take care of myself, and actually do them.... It was hard. And I definitely don't have everything on the list. In reality, I think these were the last things I did in a chain of many. The hardest part was reaching out to my loved ones and admitting that I wasn't okay! That I needed their support and love. Then making a doctor's appointment. And finally the list below. What are the things that work for you? How can I support you during this crazy time? I want to you to know that you matter! Have you ever noticed that you find what you look for? Tony Robbins does this great exercise. Stop what you're doing and look around, look for red. How many Red objects can you find?... Now close your eyes. How many Blue objects did you see? None!! I was too busy looking for Red.. When you're looking for what's wrong, how do you see what's right? I am not saying pretend everything is great. I also believe that feeling all our feelings is super important. But I absolutely take time every day to list all the things that I am grateful for. It used to be hard to find 3, now I can right a whole page at any given time. What are you grateful for today? Why should you care?
