The 101 Brewhouse + Distillery in Gibsons Built and owned by David Longman of Longman Developments (www.longmandevelopments.com) and Chris and Kelly Greenfield. Graphic design and branding by John & Roberta Ridd of Topshelf Creative (www.topshelfcreative.com). ... The 101 Brewhouse + Distillery opened to the public in August of this year at 1009 Gibsons Way. The former Bob’s Automotive building was completely gutted by the crew at Longman Developments and rebuilt from the inside out to become the Coast’s newest warm and welcoming food and drink destination. Partners Chris and Kelly Greenfield bring their experience from running the Troller Ale House in Horseshoe Bay to their home in Gibsons and will ensure you have a fantastic time whether you are just dropping in for a quick drink with friends or staying to sample meals from their full dinner menu. The distinctive branding and interior/exterior signage design at The 101 was done by John and Roberta Ridd at Topshelf Creative. Much of the on-site signage and branding, including a large map of the Sunshine Coast showing all of the points of interest (and other breweries/cideries on the HWY 101 ale trail), was hand-painted in an effort to match the slightly rustic and craftsman feel of the building. Are you looking to be part of a dynamic organisation? If so the treasurer position at the not for-profit Coast Community Builders Association (CCBA) has recently opened up. We are looking for a new team member to take the lead in accounting, tax, accounts payable, and operations. This is a key volunteer position that has a team of professionals on our board of directors and a bookkeeper to assist if needed. Open Door Group Jobs in Demand is a program funded through the Government of Canada that seeks to resolve unemployment rates with youth in specific in-demand industries. On the Sunshine Coast, Jobs in Demand runs 4 different industry cohorts a year. This summer, we have partnered with the Sechelt Indian Band to create a bigger and better program. As of right now, two cohorts are running simultaneously together: Trades Assistant and Tourism/Retail. The Trades Assistant progra...m seeks to give training young people an opportunity to get into the Trades or Sub-Trades industries through specific certificates such as: Backhoe, Forklift, OFA, Confined Space, Traffic Control, WHMIS and many more. Some of our clients have worked in this industry already, and some are new to the trades, however they are all very reliable and hard-working.
