Warning: Several people have been complaining about scams from Microsoft. If you receive a call or a check in the mail from someone claiming to be Microsoft, do not give them any personal information! Microsoft will not contact you, especially when it comes to refunds or tech support. If you receive a check in the mail from Microsoft, and then you get a call stating that they over paid you and need access to your computer to rectify the payment, do not cash the check. Report... the check to your bank and do not allow anyone that you do not know or trust in to your personal computer. If you believe someone has been in your computer or is about to access your computer, shut it down! Do not turn your computer back on. Visit a technician immediately to protect your banking and personal information.
