Get ready peeps! Tomorrow we are serving a german Classic - Schnitzel!!! Schnitzel is tenderized, breaded porkchop in our case in a small grilled bun, which we call the Bunhandel ... Its served with a side of traditionell german cucumber salad (Gurkensalat). In my house growing up my Mom is the Schnitzelexpert and my Dad's Cucumber Salad is out of this world good memories... #ngcurbside, #ngculture

Wednesday, our 2nd Curbside Event Day. I need to mention Dessert first! All week we are making Black Forest Cupcakes!!! Come in and indulge... We are also featuring German Stew (Soljanka Style). Our stew is packed with Bratwurst, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and mushrooms. We added some Claustaler german pils, tomato paste, spicemix to our beef broth. Growing up Soljanka was served in every family after a big BBQ to use up left over meats and bratwurst. Often you find spicey paprika or even pickles in it. Depending on the region you visit. So we just made our own version of german/canadian fusion. #ngculture

Tomorrow is our first Day with a german Feature Sandwich for the New Glasgow Curbside Culture Event. German Fleischsalad on thick cut whole wheat Bread fresh delivered to the Coffee Bean by Gennoes. For anybody who does not know me, I grew up in a small Town named Gotha in Eastern Germany. This Sandwich was a Stapel during my University Years. I grabbed it at least two times a week in our local butcher shop across from the University. ... Its easy to make. Try it at The Bean this week and have an easy lunch option when school starts back up. All you need is some Beerwurst from the Porkshop on Westville Road, Pickles, Hellmanns Mayo and fresh cracked Pepper. #ngculture
